The great thing about photography is that I can often change the mood of a scene that I'm standing in front of. Take this stairwell for example - I was standing there looking at its beauty...studying it and trying to think of a way to make an image that evokes an emotion. My first thought was that this staircase reminds me of something I'd see in Europe in some sort of frozen-in-time gothic town. That's what I was going for here - I want it to suck you in and take you back in time
